- Highlight

Research activities for microwave energy applications in the Laboratory are introduced as showing developed sensors for visualizing microwave field distribution with application of partial microwave field energy in processing medium.
Also, some results of research activities are shown for dynamic evaluation of temperature dependent permittivity and permeability of material in microwave frequencies, and for frequency selective surface fabricated by printing technique.

- Highlight
- Nonreciprocal CRLH-WGs composed of periodic structure containing nonreciprocal element, that have tunable operating frequency; short millimeter-wave PTFE-SIW Butler matrix by SR etching and Au sputtering; and acoustic metamaterials that block sound waves of a specific frequency combining slit array structure and Helmholtz resonator are introduced.

- Highlight
- We exhibit high-gain antennas in the millimeter-wave band such as waveguide slot arrays and post-wall waveguide slot antennas. A panel of the two-dimensional beam-switching circuit, rectangular-coordinate two-dimensional orthogonal multiplex communication, and origami deployable reflectarray antennas for small satellites are displayed and 60-GHz-band high-speed wireless communication is demonstrated.
