Recent progress on
(1) real-time and reliable control systems of electric power supplying networks using 920MHz ZigBee networks,
(2) human area networking technology that uses the surface of the human body as a data transmission path and uses near-field coupling transceivers,
(3) flexible antennas made of conductive textiles for RFIDs and wearable communication devices,
will be presented.

(1) nonreciprocal CRLH metamaterials which show positive refractive index in one propagation direction and negative refractive index in the opposite direction at the same operating frequency, and their application to antennas,

- Engineering models and characteristic estimations of invented antennas such as UWB are exhibited. Moreover, we present researches on microwave high-resolution imaging technologies used for car radars or microwave CT (Computed Tomography) equipments, measurement and analysis of electromagnetic compatibility for electronic equipments and metamaterial applications. In addition, the development of phantom used in low frequency band is introduced.

- Development of wave absorber for improving ETC or wireless LAN environment by using new technology and its related techniques such as measurement of material constant and EM field simulation are performed in this laboratory.
