STEPS FOR VISA APPLICATION

  1. Check whether a visa is necessary for you to enter Japan.

  2. Ask the Japanese diplomatic establishment (embassy or consulate) in your country what kind of documents you will have to prepare.

  3. Complete the Pre-Registraion for APMC 2006 with all payments done.

  4. Arrange all travel reservations such as hotel accommodations and airline tickets to Japan.

  5. Send the "INVITATION LETTER Request Form" to the APMC 2006 Secretariat by E-MAIL. You can receive the form by inputting your e-mail address in the box below. After we receive your completed form, we will prepare the "INVITATION LETTER" and the "Travel Schedule" written in Japanese, and send them to you by FedEx in a week or two. ( http://www.fedex.com/ )

    6. ※ Please note that we only invite those who are going to present a paper at APMC 2006, and their accompanying person if any.
  6. Apply in person to a Japanese diplomatic establishment in your country with all the required documents, including the "INVITATION LETTER" and the "Travel Schedule." Please note that it sometimes takes weeks for a visa to be issued.

*If your name can be spelled with CHINESE CHARACTERS, please download the "Chinese Name Form", print it out, write your full name in Chinese, and FAX it to APMC 2006 Secretariat (FAX: +81-47-309-3617).

* Please note that the "INVITATION LETTER" and the "Travel Schedule" will not be reissued. You can request for these documents only one time.

* If any violation on the visa application is discovered, you may not be allowed to enter Japan.
